Right Here, Right Now - The Top 15 Conservative Songs
We decided to kickoff Right Here, Right Now with a little fun. On December 5, 2008, we introduced RHRN to WSCA listeners by counting down the top 15 Conservative songs (according to Jeff).

Commitment to country and self sacrifice. Key lyrics:

This song reminded me of a statement made by Ronald Reagan – “You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay.” “There is a point beyond which they must not advance.”

A love song about a man and a woman divided by the Berlin Wall during the Cold War. Key lyrics:

This song still sends chills up and down my spine. There are some in this country that have chosen to look at all of America's perceived negatives, ignoring the simply truths that represent the real America. America the Beautiful reminds all of us of America's greatest and Gods blessings. Key lyrics:

A side note on this song: I learned to appreciate this song even more when I heard it sung by hundreds of Germany's while I was attending a local festival in the 1980's; very moving.

Citizen solider was written especially for those that serve our country as members of the National Guard (the original militia). The song talks about a personal sacrifice for the greater good of the community. Key lyrics:

This song is an oath that swears off naïve idealism once and for all. Key lyrics:

1. Right Here, Right Now – Jesus Jones (Our Theme Song)
Conservatives believe that we are but one link in the long chain that represents history, and that our country is only as strong as the weakest link. This song reminds all of us of the importance in remembering our place in history. Key lyrics:“I was alive and I waited for this. . . . Watching the world wake up from history.”
